- I heart Facebook.
- One of my first true loves was Facebook. I returned home from my LDS mission service in 2005 and Facebook was just going mainstream, I hopped on board and I have never looked back.
- You know how on Baby Mamma, Amy Poehler's character says that her husband is so sad that he didn't invent the iPod and it nearly crushed him? Well, that is how I am with Facebook. Dang you Mark Zuckerberg; Well done my friend.
- I am obsessed with technology! haha.
- I know that people think I might be joking, but I am dead serious. You know how in Napolean Dynamite Kip sings that "I love technology song?" Well that is basically me. I love to buy little cords, gadgets, and gizmos, and play around with them until they break.
- I have too good of handwriting for a boy.
- Growing up with my dad on the road a lot, I learned a lot of my talents from my older sister Tara and my mother. I think that their good handwriting skills must have worn off on me, because I have always been told that my handwriting is too girly and much to neat for a doctor. This one time in Kindergarten, I made an entry into the Elementary Reflections contest in the writing category and they had to do an investigation with my teacher, because they thought my mom had written my entry and not myself. Well much to their believe after my teacher showed them some of my work, it was in deed my handwriting. (true story, ask my mom)

- If I could eat at only one restaurant every day it would be Citris Grill.
- Ever since Citris Grill opened on 33rd south, I have been one of their most trusted customers. It is a great place for a first date and on Thursday nights they have a local artist perform live and it is tons of fun. My favorite thing to get is the Southwest Chicken Wrap with a side cobb salad.
- One funny story: So I was in a class last year and the kid sitting next to me looked really familiar. I was like, "Do I know you somehow?" and he replied, "Yeah? How do I know you?" After twenty minutes of perplexed sitting, all of sudden he said, "Do you come to Citris Grill a lot? But like a lot lot lot?" And I said, "Yeah, why?" And he said, "'Cause I'm the manager there!!" hahaha. It was sooo funny. Now a lot of the times I go in there, he comes out and says hi and gives me a free drink or appetizer for being such a loyal customer.

- I have too many pet peeves to count.
- Okay seriously, my cousin Shannon told me that "I get bugged easily," but it really isn't that. I just have a lot of pet peeves. I don't know why I have so many and sometimes I don't even know what they are until someone does them. You can keep doing them to bug you, but don't be sad when I tell you that it bugs me. :-).

- I love Germans, Germany, and everything German (except Hitler and Nazis).
- I served a LDS mission in Frankfurt, Germany from 2003 - 2005 and I absolutely loved my time there. I fell in love with the culture, food, language, humor, landscape, and much more. I love to eat Knoedel, Rotkohl, and gravy. I could eat that all the time and I absolutely love Abdendbrot, Kinder Ueberauschungen, and any and all chocolate.

- I am GOOGLE everything (GMail, Blogger, Google Calendar, Google Reader, etc.)
- Okay another thing I wish I had invented was google. I love all their products. They just know what people want and then they make it. I have a google reader account, where I follow lots of blogs, I use GMail with a 'greasemonkey' add-in to add task lists, cool colors, and different features, and MY LIFE lives and breathes by Google Calendar. I have to add things in GCal and add reminders, otherwise I won't remember to do it. Google has streamlined my life and made many of my stresses disappear. Thank G-Team!

- I absolutely despise working on Macintosh computers.
- Many of my close friends know that I talk mad heat on Mac's. I think that their laptops are cool looking and small and all, but that is about it. THE ONLY ONLY thing I like about them, is that when put in Standby mode and awakened, they are much faster than a Windows computer, but besides that the bouncing icons, on-click mouse, incompatible software that never works, irreplaceable RAM, horrible operating system, bad networking capabilities, self-proclaimed virus-free status that doesn't exist, complete monopoly against free sourcing, etc. etc. just plain DRIVES ME NUTS!
- ...And for all those people that think I haven't even worked on a Mac, you are liars. I use them constantly for graphic design (which is JUST as easy on Windows) and I had to work on one all summer in D.C. and I despised it.
- I have an iPhone and I LOVE IT.... (I still hate MAC OS)
- Okay, little known fact about me is that I don't hate Apple, Inc. I just hate the Macintosh computing platform. I think that Steve Jobs is a genius and I can barely believe that the iPod still is less than 10 years old. I have 4 iPods. I have a nano to run with, an iPod Photo for my car, an iPod Classic for listening purposes, and my iPod on my iPhone. I LIVE FOR MY MUSIC!!!
- I got an iPhone in September and I absolutely love it. It has all my email, calendars, games, apps, full internet, and everything else you would want. I want it to have MMS capabilities and have cut-and-copy features, but I am confident that that is something in the works, so I will just wait.

- I have played the piano since I was 6.
- A lot of people know, but some people don't know that I love to play the piano. I have played the piano since I was really little and even though there were times I despised it, I still loved it. I play for people's parties and events sometimes. I used to play at weddings, but with work, school, and play I haven't played as much as I hope. I love to sit down at my piano on Sundays and just play the piano and sing and forget about the stresses of life.

- I don't know a lot about sports and I am okay with that.
- So you know how Dads are supposed to know all about football teams and like who traded whom for whom, and who coaches this team and that, and who played for what high school. Well.... I will not be one of those dads, because I simply do not know anything about sports teams. I love to go to sporting events, play sports, and watch sports, I just don't like talking about them. Haha... I prefer to fill up my head with other things like world and current events, political debate ammunition, and celebrity gossip. I guess I might have to cave and learn more about sports so I have something to talk about at the office, because what Brad and Angelina's kids are doing or whom Reese Whitherspoon is dating are not always "water cooler talk." Haha.

- I love to tell looooooong stories!
- Everyone who knows me, knows that I tell really really long stories. BUT THEY ARE GOOD too! haha. If I am starting to tell a story, I will be all "The Readers Digest" version is... and then go on to tell the story. But even then, I get all wrapped up in the details of the story, I start doing impressions of peoples' voices and then 45 minutes later, the story is still not going on. I love to tell stories and people love to laugh at them; mostly because I am so strange and won't shut up!

- I have a strange obsession with Pop Tarts and Little Debbie snack cakes.
- Every time I see them in the grocery store I HAVE to buy one. My favorite are Little Debbie Zebra Cakes or the holiday christmas tree snack cakes and I love Brown Sugar Pop Tarts. But I also love to buy Hot Fudge Sundae Pop Tarts, they are the best midnight snack ever!! I am serious.... go buy them, eat them, and try to tell me otherwise.
- Oh and remember that Toaster Strudel commercial from when we were kids where the mom gives the kid a strawberry pop tart and he takes it on the bus, but then his friend gives him a Toaster Strudel and so he opens his locker to put the old pop tart in there and then all of a sudden like 100 pop tarts fall out of his locker? I ALWAYS always wanted to be that kids friend and eat all his pop tarts! hahha
- I always keep myself busy, 'cause that is when I perform the best.
- I tend to get involved in a LOT of stuff. I love to have an opinion and voice it. I feel that as a student leader the more voices you have around the table, the better. I love to get involved with student groups, initiatives, political campaigns, and lots more. I currently am Senior Class Vice President and am very proud to be involved with the University of Utah's student government organization because I believe it does make a difference and help students!

- I have a love-hate relationship with finances.
- The reason I love finances is because I have been keeping a computerized check registry since I was 16 on Quicken. I am obsessed with it. My dad got me started on it and since I have to keep track of all my purchases, car payments, student loans, etc. etc. I love to make sure that my account reconciles to the very last penny, but it drives me crazy when something is missing. I am very interested in a career in wealth and asset management and am looking into getting a job with Goldman Sachs and other financial institutions right not, because I believe my detail-oriented mind could really help.
- The reason I hate finances is cause I never have any. Haha. :-). Money seems to get tight here and there, but I have felt so blessed to have had scholarship opportunities that have financed my way through school and great part-time jobs that have helped me grow as an individual.

- I just bought a TiVo and I believe it is the best invention of the century!
- My Christmas present to myself this last year was a TiVo box and TiVo service. I got some cash from the parentals to spend as well as my few hundred dollars of stipend for student government came in at the same time and I decided to cash in and get a TiVo. I AM SO GLAD I DID! I think that it is the best invention known to man and I love being able to watch my shows when I want and also to pause, rewind, and fast-forward live TV. One again Mr. Baby Mamma, I am so mad that I didn't invent that.... it was a tough blow!

- I recently just performed a complete personal wardrobe make-over.
- A funny story (and yes this is Readers Digest Version): I was at Citris Grill with some friends in 2006 and all of a sudden they proclaimed, "We are here for an intervention with you Randy!" and I said, "Huh?" "A fashion intervention my dear" said my friend Taryn. They proceeded to tell me that they (both boys and girls) thought that I dressed like I was stuck in 1994 and was never coming out. They told me that $19.99 jeans from Meier and Frank look just like that, $19.99 jeans from Meier and Frank. RUDE huh??
- Well.... over the last two years I have taken a lot of my clothes to the Deseret Industries and bought a lot of new ones in their place. I know that it cost a lot of money to perform a personal version of TLC's What Not to Wear but I am glad I did it. I remember going through my clothes with my sister and I counted 21 rugby shirts. 21!!! I used to work at Old Navy (another little known fact) and I would buy stuff on clearance with my discount and I guess the old 90's gear just started piling up.
- I have never kissed in the rain, but always wanted to.
- Although I only have a list of 25 things, I could add to the list that I am okay when I like a "chick flick." I don't like all of them, but I do like a substantial amount. After watching The Notebook, I thought that it was freaking cool how they make out in the pouring rain and since have always wanted to do the same. Maybe one day....

- I have very strange food likes and dislikes.
- I HATE raw tomatoes, onions, avocadoes, and sour cream. I also dislike squash, cucumbers, onions, most sea food (especially shrimp), sushi, and swiss cheese (unless its melted in a Panini). The HATES are absolutely not's and the dislikes are if I don't want to offend someone I will eat.
- I LOVE Pizza (I know there are tomatoes in there, but they are cooked), Enchiladas (without sour cream or guacamole), Pasta (as long as no raw tomatoes are in them), Funeral Potatoes, Bacon Cheeseburgers (with no onions), and BBQ Chicken Salads (Wingers has the best one). I really really like Jello, Easy Cheese & Triscuits, Pop Tarts (of course), mini saltine crackers, Lunchables, cinnamon raisin bagels with cream cheese, PB&J on toasted 12-grain bread, and much much more!!
- I am training for a marathon
- I started running two years ago and since have been pretty good and running consistently. I have the Nike+ shoes that connect to my iPod and tell me how far I have ran and stuff. (Once again I LOVE technology, I know, kind of nerdy). I have run two half-marathons already and I am training right now to run the half-marathon in April of this year and hopefully want to run the St. George marathon this year or I will run the SL Marathon next year, I am not sure. It depends on getting a career job or not. I am not the best or fastest, but I enjoy it. I have my dad and sister to thank for getting my excited to start running.

- I have to set three alarms to get up!
- Okay, seriously what is wrong with me!? It might be because I have lived so long at the Sigma Chi house, that I have trained myself to sleep through anything, but I have to set three different alarms at different times like 2 minutes away from each other in order to get up. I always end up getting up, it is just hard for me to hear the alarms, or I subconsciously turn the alarm off and don't wake up. It drove all my mission companions and my roommate Austin and my current roommate Basim CRAZY!!! hahaha
- Funny fact is my mom bought me this alarm for my room at their house that has a spinning helicopter that shoots off when the alarm goes off and the alarm won't turn off until you find the helicopter top and place it back in the base. It really helped make me get out of bed and find that stupid thing and then put it back. After 40 seconds of scrambling with no contacts in, as if in a comatose state, I would usually wake up.
- People constantly call me to fix their computers.
- There has not been a week that has gone by in the last two years I swear that someone hasn't called me and been like "Something is wrong with my computer." Haha. I always love to help people fix their computers, because I am pretty savvy at diagnosing a problem and fixing. Most of the time it is Spyware that can be easily removed or sometimes there is no problem at all, something is just unplugged.

- I was the University of Utah Homecoming King.
- Most people know this to be the case, because I was soooo proud to represent my student body in 2007 when I was voted in as Homecoming King. It was so fun to wear a big red furry crown and drive around in a golf cart with a blow horn telling people to come to the Homecoming Dance. I was so stoked to walk on the football field all dressed up and do the "parade wave," but then it was POURING rain that day and it wasn't as fun as I had hoped my premiere on the JumboTron to be, but it was still a load of fun.
- The best line of that week: "Where is Pat Reimherr? (the first attendant) I need him to come iron my sash!!" hahaha, we were laughing so hard!
- I am very blunt and I thrive off of making people feel awkward.
- Most of the time I always just say what I am feeling, what I am thinking, or what everyone else is thinking but too scared to say. I hardly ever get awkward, and if I do, I just laugh at myself. I love to point out things that everyone is saying in their facial expressions, but won't say verbally and then just be like "Well.... you all were thinking it!" I also love to make a fool of myself at sporting events and try to get on the JumboTron. Recently in Washington D.C. I was crazily doing the "Crank That Superman" move to the song and got on the JumboTron at the Nationals game and I was wayyyy excited, but everyone I was with were way embarrassed. Why do people get so embarrassed? Seriously.

- My family members know how to make me laugh more than anyone else!
- Sunday dinners are such a hoot!! I always look forward to them because we all keep each other in check and if you slip up saying something, say a wrong word, or make a weird noise with your voice, then EVERYONE makes fun of you! The times that I have laughed the hardest have been when my dad says "flamboyant" when he means "flammable" or when my mom tries to repeat a line from a movie and just totally butchers it.
- I love my family and I love to laugh!

My 25 Things: "These are a few of my favorite things"
WOW.... I used to be such an avid blogger and now with things getting so busy, I never find the time to sit down and blog. But today I have made a resolution to be better. I don't know if any of you have noticed, but there is this thing going around Facebook called like "25 Things About Me," where people put down all this weird stuff about themselves that are unique and no one knows, like "I don't eat red meat" or "I am obsessed with diet coke." All this commotion has sparked an interest for me to hop on the train and share to YOU my blogger-buddies some fun factoids about yours truly.
